Cold hardy and later to bloom than most cherries, this tree puts forth white flowers in spring. Self-pollinating, (but better with a partner), the Montmorency cherry bears armloads of red skinned, amber fleshed cherries in early summer. Grafted on Mahaleb rootstock, this tree should grow to 16-20′ and should be planted in sun in a moist but well drained sandy loam soil.. Mature Size: 16-20′ x 16-20′ after 5-7 years. Full Sun (6+ Hours).
