    Plant a Row for the Hungry returns the weekend of Saturday, March 29! Tomatoes in 3.25" containers can be had for just $2, and proceeds benefit the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. This year is our most exciting yet, featuring fresh made salsas by Salsas Mi Miña and sourdough by Homegrown Sourdough Bakery on Saturday the 29th, and you might even spot Paul James giving roaming talks throughout the day!     Join us Saturday, June 14, for our first ever Cactus and Succulent Show! Celebrate Father’s Day weekend with everyone’s favorite prickly plants, plus weird and wild exotic plants from specialty growers Chaos on Coyote Trail, potting stations, food by The Dogfather, live music by Pat "Trick" Savage and Rick Morton, salsas by Salas Mi Miña, and a complimentary beer for all the adults in the house! Your plant (be it a cactus, succulent, or just something weird you want to show off) could even be the star of the show! Bring your plant to participate in the Plant Show Contest for the chance to win a Southwood gift card! Judges will include expert growers and other plant enthusiasts from our team, as well as event attendees for the People's Choice Award.

    Plant contest details:
    Registration, bring plant to store 9-10 a.m.
    Plants will be displayed until 3 p.m.
    Panel judging will take place 1 to 2 p.m.
    Attendees can vote on People's Choice throughout the day
    Winners announced at 2:30 p.m.
    Pick up plant at 3 p.m.
    Judging criteria for both the panel judging and People's Choice is up to each judge.

    One entry per person. Entries may be a single specimen or a combination of plants in a single container or arrangement.
