I am absolutely blown away at the outstanding customer service and knowledge your ground crews have about trees at the store. We have been looking for a tree to replace one we lost over the summer storm and your employees helped us so much with making that decision. We had been in a few times and every time we came in, we came across someone that knew a lot about trees. I forget everyone we spoke to, but I know there was a manager there that helped a lot, I think his name was Brian? And he was super helpful with great customer service. Every employee took the time to really speak to us and I wish I would have remembered one of the individuals that spoke to us on our first trip (maybe his name was Dustin or Justin?). He was super knowledgeable and very helpful. We decided on the Chinese Pistache, and had Jason help us make the final decision – again, Jason was just like the others, excellent customer service and super knowledgeable. We have usually always gone to Sanders for our plants and it was one of your employees on the phone helping me find out if you had any Pistache’s in stock that told me you offered a delivery and installation service. We had no idea! So we upgraded to a larger tree because of this service. Please don’t take this service away, as I think this is a huge selling point that will get more customers to buy from you, especially with the one year warranty you offer.
 
Fast forward to today, when your installation crew showed up. Jeremy was the lead, and again, wow. Just blown away at how great that crew was. I watched them do their thing from inside the house, and they did an excellent job. They were perfectionists at positioning the tree and getting it just right. You just don’t see this kind of work ethic and customer service these days from any company anymore. No one seems to take pride in their work anymore, and everyone just does a half ass job, rushing through things, cutting corners, and it is obvious they just don’t care. We have had our fair share of these types of contractors with our new house build, so we always expect this now. But not with Southwoods. You guys have done an outstanding job on training and choosing/hiring your employees. The customer service that has been provided by everyone we encountered with your company has completely won us over and we will be coming to you for 100% of our large plant needs in the future. We will not even waste our time with other nurseries. I will recommend your company to others now as well.
 
Thanks for taking care of us. Thanks for instilling the importance of customer service with your employees, and thanks for restoring hope that there are still companies that have good work ethics and actually care to do a great job for customers. Please pass the kudos on to your employees!

Tena’s use of color, variety and plant placement was the best of any landscape company I have used. The plants were beautiful and I really appreciated them making good on their warranty and replacing those that didn’t make it through their first winter. I have used a few other landscape companies but have never gotten so much for my money and my yard has never looked better. I am very happy and will be back and recommend them to anyone.

Had Tena redo our yard after years of neglect due to health issues. She understood the limitations I would have in regard to watering and maintenance and designed the perfect garden for me. All the neighbors have expressed delight withhow beautiful it is and other than a spring and fall cleanup it is generally maintenance free. Five years later I can tell you I have been completely thrilled with the results. It has beena joy to look at and no excessive demands on me.

Your Landscape Design Team did a wonderful job on all aspects of our project.  We are very happy with the whole experience and the final product.
For a long time, we wanted to have our landscaping overhauled along with other related outdoor work.  For me to arrange for different contractors for each job would be overwhelming. I was delighted when I found out Southwood could coordinate and oversee everything.  Our next door neighbor’s beautiful SW installation reinforced our decision to choose Southwood.
All of the people who worked on our project are excellent. When I went into the Design Center the first time, Becky happily listened to what I was considering and she explained the process.  I decided right away to have her set up a consultation.  She has been very helpful.
Howard is super personable and an excellent designer.  His ideas, plans and expertise brought the multifaceted project together.  Not only did we need our flower beds, water feature and hardscape overhauled but also new lighting and sprinkler systems installed. In addition, we had drainage issues that needed to be addressed.  The work had to also be coordinated with new guttering and driveway installations. All of it went very smoothly… especially considering all the recent crazy weather!  Throughout the process, Howard was always happy to answer questions, listen to my input, solve new problems that arose and make changes and/or additions to the plan.  I greatly appreciate his positive attitude.
Lupe and his crew did a superb job executing the plans. From start to finish, they all did amazing work. They are multitalented, efficient and highly skilled artisans.  Lupe patiently answered my many questions and cheerfully made the changes I asked for- like moving plants, rocks, etc.  Also, I appreciate that they were all always polite and they straightened up the yard each time they left.
We are so pleased with the way everything turned out. It is beautiful!  The flower beds are laid out perfectly for my eclectic choice of plants. The flagstone walkways and rock borders look amazing. The lights highlight the plantings and walkways just right.  We are also thankful the water drainage plan is working well.  We haven’t needed our sprinkler system yet but we are thrilled it is set up for the summer days ahead of us.
Southwood has always been one of my favorite places in Tulsa.  For many years, I’ve enjoyed the displays inside and out, the music and walking around all the lovely areas.  I especially appreciate the helpful friendly employees and the quality and selection of plants. I always tell those who haven’t been there that it’s not just a gardening center but it is an experience.   The events, the newsletter, and your community involvement are all also commendable.  I now can add the excellent Design Center to my list of why I love Southwood.  You are an excellent business and a great asset to Tulsa.

EVERYTHING is coming along nicely and I have received numerous compliments. Even compliments for removing the huge Cherry Laurel. The Carolina Jasmine is doing well. I did have to trim it back because it was reaching over the Crepe Myrtle. There will be a maintenance factor in this regard, but I like it. Next year, if all goes well, my plans are to continue around the side of the house to meet the patio. I may completely rock that small fenced area by the side garage door where trash cans are.
