Beaucarnea, commonly known as Ponytail Palm or Elephant’s Foot, is an eye-catching plant with a slow to moderate growth habit, forming a stout, bulbous trunk that gives way to long, arching, strap-like leaves. This succulent thrives in well-draining soil, preferss bright, indirect light, and is well-suited for low to moderate humidity levels. Water infrequently and allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Fertilize sparingly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season. A fun fact about this plant is that despite its common names, Ponytail Palm is not a true palm or a tree; it is a succulent related to agaves and yuccas. It originates from southeastern Mexico, and while not highly toxic, it’s advisable to keep it out of reach of pets as ingestion may cause mild gastrointestinal upset.. Mature Size: 2-4′ x 2-3′ after 10 years. Full Sun (6+ Hours), Morning Sun Afternoon Shade.
