One of the best ways to ensure houseplant success is to start off on the right foot, and that means good potting fundamentals. BAM! That's where we come in! On Saturday, July 20, we'll be rolling up our sleeves for BAM! Houseplant Success: It All Starts With Potting, a hands-on make-and-take workshop where you'll get to pot a plant with the help of our friendly Southwood staff! Your ticket includes a 6" pot and saucer as well as a 4" houseplant that you'll get to pot and take home to add a little POW! to your living space.
Calling all young plant and dino enthusiasts! Step back in time to a world where prehistoric beasts walked among tiny houseplants with Dino Terrariums on Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m.! Kids of all ages will get to learn how to create their very own Jurassic jungles, complete with lush greenery and miniature dinosaurs, in this fun and educational workshop. Seating is limited, so don't delay!
All supplies will be provided. Each ticket includes:
One glass terrarium
Two houseplants
Three miniature dinosaur figurines
Moss, soil, and rocks
It may be hot outside, but we can feel an eerie chill in the air which can only mean one thing: time to get ready for Halloween! On Saturday, August 10, we're going haunt the block of 11th and Lewis to celebrate the unveiling of our spooky new Bootique at Southwood Home & Garden! The mischief starts at 6 p.m. with an evening of tricks, treats, and Halloween galore for all to enjoy.
A new school year is fast approaching! 📚 Start it off with a bloom at our Back to School Make-n-Take Workshop, where you and your kids can create a beautiful potted houseplant arrangement to give to their teachers (or keep for yourself!). All supplies are provided, but spots are limited to 25 tickets. If you want to make more than one arrangement, or if you have multiple children who want to create arrangements for their teachers, please buy the according amount of tickets.
