It prefers bright, indirect light and high humidity, thriving in well-draining soil that is kept consistently moist but not waterlogged to prevent root rot. While it can tolerate some degree of direct sunlight, in hot climates like Oklahoma, protection from the harsh afternoon sun is beneficial to prevent leaf scorch. Some species may have air purifying qualities, though they are known to be toxic to pets and people if ingested.. Mature Size: 4′ x 3′ after 2 years. Shade, Morning Sun Afternoon Shade.
